What We Do > Community Events

We create events that make a difference.
The McKinley School PTA hosts many events just for McKinley families, but we also sponsor family events that are open to the entire Fairfield Community and surrounding areas. We invite you to join us and bring your friends and neighbors too.
In celebration of McKinley's multi-cultural diversity, the PTA created this wonderful community event. Parents, teachers and students participate and all of Fairfield is invited. The fair is held on a Saturday in October. Festivities include a "parade of nations", crafts, outdoor games, raffles, ethnic entertainers, international food from area restaurants and American fare.
The first World's Fair was held in October 2006. Over 850 people attended. Many helping hands are needed to make this event successful. We hope you will volunteer. To find out how you can help, please contact the World's Fair Head Chairperson, Marie Stalling. To read about World's Fair 2008, click here.
Held before the holiday rush, McKinley’s craft fair is a Saturday event for Fairfield and surrounding communities. The fair showcases over 40 exhibitors and vendors from CT, NY and the New England area. We invite everyone to come and shop. Food, raffles and great holiday gifts are available.

The carnival is McKinley's largest fundraiser. Held at Jennings beach for four days in April, the entire Fairfield community is invited for a weekend of rides, games, food and fun.
The McKinley School PTA needs lots of volunteers to help make our carnival the best it can be. To find out how you can help, please contact Domingo Thomas or Wes Greenop.
